Bringing Advanced Life
Support to the country!
Founded in 1976,
Owen County Emergency Medical Services is located in Spencer,
IN. Spencer is located in the heart of "Sweet" Owen County in
scenic Southwest Indiana. We are located about 60 miles
Southwest of Indianapolis. Owen County covers approximately 400
square miles of rolling hills and rural countryside.

OCEMS responds
to 5000 calls per year. We are a rural Indiana county that covers
over 200 square miles with a population of 23,000. We transport our
patients to several hospitals in the region. Bloomington Hospital,
Morgan County Hospital, Putnam County Hospital and Greene County
hospital are all available to us. Whenever we have seriously injured
patients that require a Level 1 trauma center, we have the option of
sending our patients to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis via
Lifeline helicopter.

The EMS center is located on State Road 46 west in Spencer. You are
cordially invited to stop in and have a look around if you are near
our station.

If you have suggestions or feedback about our site, please use the
